The Bower Society
I am a ceramic artist and multidisciplinary designer. My love of hand-building ceramic functional ware combines these disciplines to make pieces that represent both form and function. Living on this extraordinary coastline, I am continuously inspired by and grateful for the natural world around me. Through this engagement, I shape earth and add fire, intentionally creating pieces to share, serve and appreciate.

Fairtrade - Handmade and Crafted
Our baskets are sourced directly from villages in Bolga, Ghana. These beautiful baskets have been made since the 1800s, when they used to trade them for food and supplies. Sadly, this hasn’t changed much over the years for a lot of these people. The baskets are their only source of living. All the baskets are hand-dyed with natural dyes, and the leather handles is sourced from the abattoirs. Purchasing these baskets supports the Bolga community. All hand made and hand dyed ...100% direct from the villages in Africa. Items can be posted.

Ana Jensen Ceramics
I am a full time potter living in the western district of country Victoria, Australia. I make a range of hand-thrown domestic ware for daily use, as well as some sculpture. The domestic forms I produce - vases, bowls, milk jugs and platters - have a clean, contemporary style, reflecting my Danish background. They are glazed in a range of colours and fired in my gas kiln.
Lil Green Finch
Choosing and mixing colourful fabrics for my beeswax wraps in order to add a happy splash of colour to your household gives me a lot of joy. I use pure, pre-washed cotton fabrics, which I treat with my own successful blend of locally sourced beeswax, oils and food-grade, anti-bacterial tree resin. My wraps are lovingly handcrafted, reusable, versatile, environmentally friendly, sustainable, long lasting and compostable. They replace cling wrap and other plastics in the kitchen to reduce plastic waste and help keep this world just a little bit healthier. Contact me for prices and color/ pattern preference.

Written in Stone
Philomena sells prints, tea towels, maps and the much-loved book Written in Stone . The book combines nature writing, poetry, sketches and photographs charting the 135-million year story of the Surf Coast and its geology. It takes the reader from the ochre cliffs of Torquay, where 25 million-year-old fossils can be found, past the tip of Cape Otway, where Gondwanan rivers have preserved dinosaur bones and onto the Twelve Apostles. It captures the curiosity and beauty of small moments ... of objects found on walks, collected and treasured.
Coastal Tidal Clocks
My recycled tide clocks track local tide times. Great as gifts for beach walkers, to keep your shoes dry; the surfer in your family, so they know when low tide is going to be; and the fisher folk who catch the most fish on the turn of the tide ... or just for fun. Using CDs/DVDs destined for landfill, each clock features images that are either my photos or paintings. One less item for landfill and a clean ocean inspire me to create and educate on the wonders of our ocean's timing and patterns.
