Bookings & Payment
Please wait for us to send email confirmation of your dates before making your booking online.
Payment must be made within 7 days of booking a site.
Email and name is required as identification when payment is being made. Once paid please email that you have done so.
A request for a refund/credit must be made in writing at least 14 days before market day to be considered.
Please note, no refunds/credits are given for the cancellation of markets and/or reduced trading hours on market days due to adverse weather conditions.
It would be appreciated if stallholders notify us of non-attendance on market day via mobile text (0413 254 284) to allow us to configure other stalls appropriately. No refunds/credits can be considered for non-attendance or cancellations made within 14 days of a market date.

Set-Up & Pack-Up
Trading on regular market days is between 9am - 1pm … stalls may not pack up prior.
Please be there before 8am to set up ... we arrive at 7am.
Trading hours for our two Saturday markets are:
1. Sat 3 Nov (Aireys Fair) – 9am-3pm … please do not pack up before 3pm and be mindful that visitors to the school fair will still be on site.
2. Sat 19 January (Twilight Market) – 4-8pm. Set up will be from 2pm.
Stalls are allocated with everyone in mind ...
We do our best for all ... and we try to promote areas of the market that are perceived as slower ... which they are generally not ... people like to see everything.
Stallholders are to provide all of their own trestles, tables, tents.
If you have an outside stall ... bring sand bags/ weights to make sure your tent is fine in the wind ... pegs are generally hard to affix to ground ... especially in carpark ...
Stalls & Products
All goods should fall into one or more of the categories of: Homemade, environmentally-friendly, homegrown, vintage, high quality goods, fair trade, recycled and must be approved of by the market organisers.
We will do our best to ensure a good mix of quality stalls and products, limiting 'like' products to a maximum of two stallholders on any given market date.
We support the Surf Coast Shire Council's 'Plastic Wise Events and Markets Policy', which aims to eliminate single-use plastic bags, bottles and packaging, to protect the local environment. With this in mind, please ensure your packaging is kept to a minimum … make it special … and creative please … hand-painted, brown paper market gift bags are available on site for customers.
Stallholders are responsible for removing all their own rubbish/waste (hopefully we're not generating too much of this anyway!). The bins provided at the market are for general public use only.
Move your vehicle from the car park so that there is space for customers ... and please do not park out the front of the hall on the Great Ocean Road ... side streets are best ...
Cars may only be kept at your site by prior arrangement.
The Aireys Inlet Market operates under license from the Surf Coast Shire Council and we all must abide by the agreed terms.
Stalls selling food and food products MUST comply with requirements set by the Surf Coast Shire’s Environmental Health Officer, which can be obtained by ringing (03) 5261 0600. Appropriate documentation must be supplied with the application.
Aireys Inlet is classified as high-risk bushfire area in Council's 'Code Red and Extreme Fire Danger Preparedness Policy & Procedure', which means that the hall is unable to operate after 10am on Extreme or Code Red Fire Danger Days, so the market would need to be cancelled. These days are called very rarely but must be treated seriously. See for more information on Fire Danger Ratings and how you can stay informed.
Traders using fire will also need a Permit 40 from the CFA to be able to trade on Total Fire Ban days or during Fire Danger Periods.
It is a requirement that 90% of our stallholders come from within the 'G21 Region', which is the Geelong Region Alliance (G21) - a formal alliance of community organisations from across five local municipalities, including the Surf Coast, Colac Otway, Golden Plains, Greater Geelong and Queenscliff. Please indicate which municipality you fall into when emailing through your booking request.
***Although we have insurance for the general spaces at the market … we do not insure you or your product ... all stallholders are required to provide their own public liability insurance and we require relevant documentation to be submitted with your application. If you need a recommendation for an insurer, we currently use this company … prices and policies are very reasonable ... www.mymarketinsurance.com.au***
Have fun ... be cheeky ... promote each other ... engage and chat ... make the customers feel like they have entered a family of creative yummy people. We are proud of our friendly and inclusive feel to the market, and behaviour that is seen to be exclusive and aggressive will not be tolerated.
